The Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital (NMCH) would like to congratulate Dr Hopewell Ntsinjana on his recent appointment as Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Witwatersrand.
Dr Ntsinjana’s appointment is effective from 01 December 2018 in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health under the School of Clinical Medicine at the University. Dr Ntsinjana also currently serves as the Head of Cardiology at NMCH.
CEO of NMCH, Dr Mandisa Maholwana, says, “This is a highly prestigious and peer acclaimed appointment which demonstrates Dr Ntsinjana’s exemplary dedication and distinction as a paediatric cardiologist.”
Dr Ntsinjana holds a medical degree (MBBCH) from University of the Witwaterstrand obtained in 2000. He also has a fellowship in Paediatrics (FCPaed)  from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA) and a Certificate in Paediatric Cardiology (Cert Cardiol Paediatrics)  also from CMSA.
Dr Ntsinjana is also a member of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance imaging, current President of the Paediatric Cardiac Society of South Africa, Vice President of the South African Heart Association (SAHA). He also serves as one of the directors and sits on the board of SAHA.
